Dr. Lee Pearson
Dr. Pearson was born and raised in Prairie Village, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 with a B. S. in Animal Science and a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. His love of all animals led him to practice both large and small animal medicine in Stowe, Vermont and Walpole, NH before coming to Cheshire Animal Hospital in 1986. At Cheshire Animal Hospital he made the decision to focus 100% on small animal medicine, and surgery. He has 3 sons, 2 dogs, 1 cat and enjoys cycling, running, skiing, hiking and almost any other outdoor activity.
Dr. Lisa Rosenfelder
Dr. Lisa Rosenfelder grew up in southern New Hampshire and has wanted to be a veterinarian since the age of 5. She studied biology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts and graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in California in 2014. She joined our team in the Spring of 2019 and enjoys working on all companion animals – especially cats! Lisa also likes seeing guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, reptiles, ferrets, and other exotic pets. She also enjoys ultrasonography. When not in the clinic she enjoys traveling, her favorite place to travel to is Namibia to work with cheetahs. She also likes hiking and spending time with her 2 cats, Humphrey and Alejandro.
Dr. Katie Velez
Dr. Katie Velez graduated from Washington State University and Utah State University in May of 2017. She grew up in Marlborough and has worked for numerous veterinary offices in the area since she was 16 and is excited to be back in the Keene area. She lives in Nelson with her husband and numerous pets including a yorkie mix, a mini schnauzer, a sheltie, five cats, and three goats! Prior to veterinary school, she spent time in Namibia volunteering for the Cheetah Conservation Foundation and a game reserve in South Africa. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, camping, running, and is an avid fitness enthusiast.

Devon Sweeney
Hospital Administrator, Technician
Devon has worked at Cheshire Animal for more than 17 years, and has held every position except Veterinarian! She has a degree in Psychology and Chemical Dependency from Keene State College. When she is not at the clinic she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter, and also her horse. She shares her home with a dog, 2 cats and a bunny.
Barb Mosher
Assistant Office Manager, Technician, Receptionist
Barb first worked for a veterinarian 39 years ago! She has a B.S. in Zoology, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Florida. In her lifetime she has raised everything from parakeets, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, boxers, and horses. In her previous life she was a high school science teacher & homeschooling mom. She has worked at Cheshire Animal Hospital since 2002 and has been a receptionist, technician and manager. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, pets, and bird watching as well as nature hikes and gardening.
Becky Huntley
Inventory and Lab Manager, Technician
Becky graduated from Springfield College with a B.S. in Biology. She began working as a veterinary technician in northern N.H. In 1987 she moved to Keene and began working for Cheshire Animal Hospital. She is approaching her 33rd year as a member of our team! When not at work Becky enjoys spending time with her two boys and an assortment of animals as well as being active in her community.
Karen Wilber
AR Manager / Receptionist
Karen joined the CAH family in April 2018. Her career over the past 10 years reflects her love for all animals. In previous positions she has worked as a shelter technician, Animal Control Officer, and Veterinary Receptionist. Karen earned an Associates degree in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Science. When not at the hospital Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and twins and all kinds of animals including her two dogs – Pearl and Goldie and her cat Leo.
Joyce Hanrahan
Lead Receptionist and Front Office Assistant Manager
Joyce has worked for Cheshire Animal Hospital for a combined total of 19 years! You will find her at the front desk with her red hair and fiery personality. She spends much of her time doing wildlife rehabilitation and working with animals in need. She enjoys as much time as possible with her children and 3 adorable grandchildren. She and Dan enjoy gardening, traveling and especially making their delicious maple syrup. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats that share her home.
Laurel Benoit
Veterinary Technician / CVT
Laurel graduated from Delhi State University in 2001 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. After internships at two veterinary clinics, she began working at Cheshire Animal Hospital in 2002. Laurel is one of our senior surgery technicians. She and her husband have two beautiful children, one dog, two cats and three bunnies that share their home.
Alicia Pelletier
Veterinary Technician
Alicia started working in the veterinary field in 2010 in Westfield, Massachusetts. First at a GP hospital, then on to emergency tech at VESH and then at a veterinary cardiologist practice. She started with us in 2017 and has brought a wealth of knowledge and creativity from her previous practices. She is in school concurrently working on her masters in Conservation Biology. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse, and hanging out with her dogs, cats and husband Pat. “June” the tortoise is her pet too. She and her husband are expecting their first child soon.

Jen Hill
Technician / Receptionist
Jen started working with animals fifteen years ago. Her first technician job was in Brattleboro, VT. She joined our staff in 2015. Her love for animals and their owners sets her apart. When not working, she loves spending time with her husband and 3 children, as well as running (she already has 2 marathon medals), knitting and baking. Two dogs, a cat and a bunny share her home
Molly Miner
Veterinary Technician
Molly started here in our kennel department in 2016. In 2018 she graduated from the University of NE with a BS in Marine Biology/Animal Science. When she is not here, she likes to hike and swim with her 2 dogs and hang out with her cat and her husband, John. She also likes to figure skate.
Brandi Reamon
Veterinary Technician
Brandi joined our team in September 2019 bringing 10 years of experience in the veterinary field with her. She has a son, 4 dogs, 2 cats and a leopard gecko that keep her busy! In her spare time she enjoys traveling, painting, photography and reading.
Courtney Sontag
Receptionist
Courtney joined our team in August of 2015. She attended Becker College in Worcester, MA where she received a Bachelor of Science, majoring in management with a concentration in marketing. She also joins us with an extensive background in the hospitality and event planning fields. When Courtney is not at work you may find her at the barn riding horses or hiking with her 3 dogs and husband Dave.
Jenny Robinson
Receptionist
Jenny joined the team at Cheshire Animal Hospital in 2012. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in Landscape Architecture she ran a garden center in Maine for 10 years. She moved on to work as a receptionist at a large AAHA hospital for two years in Connecticut. In the summer she runs her farm and garden center, Ridge View Farm in Gilsum.
Amanda Burdick
Receptionist
Before joining the Cheshire Animal Hospital in 2012, Amanda worked at the Monadnock Humane Society for a total of eight years. She was a dog trainer and shelter technician and progressed to canine behavior manager. Most recently she served as the Boarding and Daycare Manager. She lives in Troy, NH and enjoys spending time with her pets, family, hiking and painting.
Crystal Dodge
Kennel
Crystal was born and raised in Cheshire County. She recently joined CAH as an integral part of our kennel staff. She is no stranger to the animal care world – she has worked for Mukota Kennel in Swanzey for 22 years. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with the many animals in her life as well as being outside learning about and experiencing the local wildlife.
Sophia Carreras
Kennel
Sophia has lived in Keene her entire life and has always had a love for animals. She currently has 2 cats, a bunny, a horse, a dog, and a fish at home. She loves the outdoors and hanging out with friends. Sophia is an honor roll student at KHS. If she is not with her animals at home, she is at the barn with her friends and horse, Zara.
